Forget-me-not - that's the name of the first shared flat we care for for people with dementia. She has found her home in the Haus am Kamp in Lägerdorf.
There, up to seven people affected by this disease live together with their families and are looked after by our specialists and organize their everyday life like in a completely normal family.
From housework to eating and celebrating together, everyone can contribute their skills and thus help to maintain them for as long as possible.
The specially designed, protective and generously bright rooms of the flat share help, especially with the large kitchen-cum-living-room and the sunny roof terrace with flowers and home-grown kitchen herbs.
The participation of relatives / friends is expressly desired here. You, the relatives / authorized representatives / carers, are also the “determiners” here, ie you decide how life in the shared apartment is shaped, and ultimately also who takes on the outpatient care of this shared apartment.
In addition to the 24-hour care of the flat share, every tenant who also needs care has the option of commissioning an outpatient care service of his choice with the appropriate care. Of course, we try to be so good that the tenants or their representatives decide for us. We consider this form of care for people with dementia to be almost ideal. But due to the small number of tenants and the 24-hour presence of caregivers, it is of course not the cheapest either. A list of costs and further information can be found here:
